Once upon a time, in his own personal hell, Jay Sparrow decided his fate. You learn a lot about yourself while lying on a bathroom floor with the bottle of Jack Daniels still in your hand. After doing a solo record and still feeling empty he needed something more

So, who are these guys and why are they so pissed off?! This record is as frantic as a six day cocaine binge. From stories of killers in Omaha to the lives of Elvis and Priscilla, this Texas Punk band is raw and loud as hell.

Produced by Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar, Grady) at Willie Nelsons legendary studio Pedernales(Austin, Texas), Murder City Sparrows created a real rock sound with none of that fancy overdub crap. They bring their no bullshit attitudes and blunt force (like a bottle across the head) to the stage at every show. Want a hit?

Recent Developements:

-New single "Burn In Water" is receiving national airplay including many Canadian markets from Montreal to Victoria and worldwide on XM Satellite Radio.

-Montreal's premiere rock radio station CHOM 97 did a half hour feature on the band.

-New video for "Burn In Water" is presently in rotation on MUCH music and MUCH LOUD stations.

-MCS just returned from a west coast tour that featured a high profile showcase at NEW MUSIC WEST in Vancouver.

-Their NMW showcase landed the band the coveted XM Satellite Radio "FUTURE SUPERSTARS" Award detailing MCS as the "BUZZ" band of the festival.

-MCS was featured in national DOSE magazine for 2 weeks straight as a band to watch in western Canada.

-MCS are preparing for their eastern tour which will feature another highly anticipated show for the world renowned NORTH BY NORTHEAST Music Festival in Toronto.

-MCS are working on the third pressing of their debut self titled EP which was produced by Gordie Johnson(Big Sugar,GRADY) at Willie Nelson's studio in Austin Texas.

-MCS are also in pre-production for a series of new songs which will complete a full length record hopefully by fall 06.
