The German band PULL A STAR TRIP takes off somewhere between Dashboard Confessional and Death Cab For Cutie, is driven by the energy of Taking Back Sunday and My Chemical Romance yet manages to land with a tank full of originality. Clear acoustic guitars and gentle piano playing are mixed with melodic singing and emotional screaming. Fueled by the tokens that define an excellent singer/songwriter their melodies quickly become sing-alongs and one cannot help but set foot into their spacecraft.
The press feedback for their debut EP "hooking up with hope... my favorite kind of one-night stands" was so outstanding that in January 2006, just 6 months after their foundation PULL A STAR TRIP played their first American tour including the world renown CBGBs. In February, 2006, the band drove down european roads supporting Jeff Caudill, former singer of Gameface (Revelation Records).
Now 18 months after the take-off, Astray Records releases Pull A Star Trips first full length album, An Internship In Optimism. It ties up perfectly to its predecessor and features 12 brand new songs full of energy, emotion, honesty and passion. These songs will surprise those who never liked acoustic music and enthrall those who are already into it. This ship was not made for a niche but for the entire hardcore/emo/rock and pop world. Use the spacecraft's door and PULL...for A STAR TRIP!
PULL A STAR TRIP will return to the east coast in summer 2007, this time from Canada to Florida.
