Artist Bio:“Got something for you baby, it’s gonna make you shout!” goes the first line of “Here We Come”, the scorching opener to “Sexy but Useless”, the self- produced, self-released, debut EP from Serial Obsession. This NYC based band, whose members hail from Connecticut, Florida, and New York have come together to create a hard driving disc that avoids new trends but rather revisits old school rock to create a fresh and exciting sound. Lead singer Shawn Sugrue’s voice recalls Scott Weiland when pouring his heart out in the beautiful, power ballad, “Surrender”, while using Bono like dynamics in the driving “Grey”. All while finding his own voice in the power pop groove of “Say Goodbye”. Lead Guitarist and co-songwriter Mike Suozzi shows his mettle on the Aerosmith inspired “Let’s Go”. Throughout the disc Suozzi releases a barrage of memorable classic rock riffs and solos to make any kid want to drop “Guitar Hero” and learn to play a real Les Paul! Rounding out the lineup is bassist Jason Rosin, whose solid groove is a great foil to the heavy hitting Bonham/Moon like approach of NY drummer T.Motts. Throughout the six tunes this rhythm section elevates the tracks while helping to define this powerful quartet known as Serial Obsession! Currently playing selected clubs in NYC, these guys are ready to take their music on the road and into the ears of anyone craving true Rock ’N Roll! “Sexy but Useless” is now available for digital download on iTunes, Napster, and Amazon, so don’t hesitate to buy/download or steal this release because there is no obsession like a Serial Obsession!
