Artist: CATAPULT
Stemming from Vancouver's hotbed of local musical talent, CATAPULT fuses progressive rock, metal, and pop blended with an acoustic southern influence. Dirty rock for the masses.

CATAPULT was conceived in 1997 by singer/acoustic guitar player Myk Shaflik, whose past includes a long history in the Vancouver music scene. Myks credits include vocalist/songwriter for DemoLISTEN/SEEDS award winning band Opium Underground, as well as Jokers Wild, Nasty Toyz, Ransom, and a host of other cover and original bands earlier in his career.

After taking the fall of 2003 off to reevaluate the direction of the band, Myk decided a new lineup was in order to spark some soul into the band. In January 2004, bass player Jason Dekoning joined the band. Jason, formerly of Motherson and Liquid Loud, provides solid grooves, a great ear for arrangement, and is a definite win for CATAPULT and their fans.

January also saw the addition of Jay Jarvis on lead guitar. Jay played most recently with BandFest winners New Eden. His solid tone and straight ahead no fuss approach can only improve the overall dynamic of CATAPULT. Jay also plays keyboards which will further develop the song writing of CATAPULT.

The recent addition of Aubrey Trotter on drums, has finalized a solid lineup for CATAPULT. Aubrey, formerly of Victoria's Belt, has experience in progressive rock and metal, and will strengthen the back line.

CATAPULT is currently in the studio finishing up an EP. Look for this new material to arrive in late Spring '05.

2006 brings great change to the band. Catapult welcomes long time friend and Soul Dust band mate Andre Bourget ,to the Lead Guitar position. Catapult is sad to see Jay Jarvis leave the project, but wish him luck in the future. As of Dec. '06 the tracks are down and mixing has begun for the full length CD. This has grown from an EP to full length, and we appreciate your patience.

2008 has harbored change for Catapult again. We are happy to announce the return of Jay Jarvis on guitar. This sets the stage for Catapult to be on track returning to their award winning writing team of Shaflik, Dekoning, Jarvis and Trotter.

Its not a new thing to me,
Weve been down this road.
Time changes everything,
You always seem to want just a little more.

A little more from the outside a little more from looking in.
Dont feed the sin, dont feed the sin

Like a new born baby child your inesent until they tell you more,
I sat back and watch the day I heard you cry out Im walking through the door.
Like an angel throwing mercy from her wings as she falls from the clouds.
I know your nothing but a looker when you open your mouth.

A little more from the outside a little more from looking in.
Dont feed the sin, dont feed the sin, dont feed the sin, dont feed the sin

Its not a new thing to me,
Weve been down this road.
Time changes everything,
You always seem to want a little more.

A little more from the outside a little more from looking in.
Dont feed the sin, dont feed the sin, dont feed the sin, dont feed the sin

Feed sin, fake sin, feed sin, fake sin
