For over five years and two albums, Freeflow have been serving up their fusion of funk across Canada, to Mexico, to World Class Festivals, sharing the stage with luminaries such as Toots and the Maytals, KNaan, Kinnie Star, Big Sugar, and Spearhead. Their electrifying live show offers up **** shakin grooves that get the most jaded jumping and has turned many a sold out crowd into frenzied disciples of the Vancouver, Canada based act.
Founders Jason Evans (vocals), Simon Davies (Bass), Reece Worth (Guitar), Ryan Davis (Drums), and Wilson Padmos (Keys) channel up inspiration from such diverse acts as Sublime, Stevie Wonder, The Roots, Jimmy Cliff, and Queens of the Stone Age. With such assorted personal tastes, the mlange is an incredible genre defying mix that continues to motivate the original line up.
Multiple encores are not uncommon at a Freeflow performance. They are known coast to coast as a must see act. When their acclaimed self titled sophomore disc dropped in February of 2005 (Festival Distribution), the release party was lined up by load in time. With so many disappointed fans being shut out of the sold out venue, a CD Release Overflow Show was arranged which again left some knocking on the door of yet another packed event. Radio Bandcouver (CFRO 102.7fm) DJ Mark Bignell attests,

Not surprising, Freeflow is a hit on the airwaves as well. Campus and community stations across the country embrace the eclectic act who have also been featured and interviewed on CBC Radio (Canadas national broadcaster.) With plans for a video underway, the bands positive vibe will soon be flowing with sight and sound.
